Week 3

It's only Sunday and we're doing fairly well so far. We bought a Little Smoky grill this week to fix dinner for friends. Joel read about grilling cabbage and decided to cook out Saturday. We got a giant pork steak as our meat subscription and he made an arugula pesto rub for it and it turned out great! Dad wanted us to cook him lunch with our CSA food today and Sis made a delicious batch of kale and kohlrabi. We fixed a big salad with the romaine and some red leaf she had from last week. Good stuff. Looking forward to the tomatoes and other summer foods.

Week 2

We bombed out this week. Made a lovely stir fry with kale, broccoli, garlic scapes, bok choy and some other items store-bought items we had around. BUT, we let all the lettuce go to waste. It doesn't hold up too well in the fridge. We learned our lesson. Joel made a weird pasta with kale and italian sausage one night which was OK cause I was hungry. He's become a real pro with the french toast and we've eaten all the eggs by Sunday both weeks so far. Drank all the milk except about a cup.

Week One

These are the recipes from our first box of produce. We ate it all. I wanted to make the kale chips, but didn't get around to it. We did make the cucumber dill salad which was great. Cheese was excellent. Field mix was a little too bitter for me.
